Obtaining CAD Times
To Use in EMSCharts
Due to the CAD (OSSI) vendor not having the data string available to “push” to EMSCharts it is necessary for employees to manually insert the correct location and date and time information into EMSCharts. This will be a short term requirement due to OSSI being contracted to provide the data string in a timely manner.
  1. Connect to Fast Access Server .
  2. Locate the Connect to CAD icon on desktop and double click.
  3. Username: EMS and Password: times
  4. When program opens Select Modules pull down at top of screen.
  5. Select Last 20 from the pull down.
  6. Change the Service to EMS.
  7. Locate your call from the list provided. Use Date /Time and Location to choose correct call.
  8. Write the Date/Time and Location for your call on scratch paper.
  9. Double click on your call to open.
  10. Choose the R/E Log Tab.
  11. Write the times that are applicable for your documentation on scratch paper.
  12. Close window(s).
  13. Close program.
Open EMSCharts program and manually enter the dispatch information (Location and Date/Times into your PCR where ever needed).
 
 
DO NOT leave Cad Times open. This will lock everyone else out. Get your times and then close the program.
 
 
 
Print copy of ACR (located on page 9), and place in the box at your base. We will be keeping hard copies for one month.
