12/2/06 Password will not work to open the mobile software: Make sure the Num LK key is "off". It is located in the upper right corner of the keypad.

       11/29/06     A few occurrences of not being able to view chart in the Patient Records section after chart has been closed have been reported. If this occurs close emscharts mobile and restart software.

Mobile Upload and Patient Search Problem: Reported problem to emscharts of not being able to do a search on web if pt info was left blank on mobile version and uploaded. Try hard to obtain Last Name and SS# and enter on mobile. If patient is in database it will auto fill if not then you must enter information..   Upload Issue Pt Search  ( emschart response#1)

                                                                Resolution: Pt Search Answer   11/7/2006

 Patient Info Upload Incorrect: The patient information is incorrect when I put Last Name and 999-99-9999 in mobile and upload. Do not put 9's in ss# on mobile. If you do not know ss# leave blank.

  Relationship Info:  Currently there are problems with uploading the relationship information. At times it works but more times it deletes the information and you have to re enter.

Glasco Coma Score: The GCS resets itself to 15 when the record is uploaded to web server. Do the GCS after upload is done. Work Ticket has been entered for both of these problems.

Connectivity Issues Continue: If your laptop will not connect to the wireless router, Shut Down the laptop (Not a Restart). This usually corrects the problem. If laptop will not connect the second time shut down the laptop again and unplug the wireless router from the wall outlet ( do not unplug from the router itself).  This completely resets the router and the laptop.

EMS Charts Mobile will not recognize the network even with the laptop showing an Excellent Linksys signal strength. Report this problem to A.Pruitte he is aware of this issue and working to correct the problem. Make sure you are showing an excellent signal strength.

Connecting to other wireless connection: You are required not to try and connect to any other wireless network other than at the EMS bases. This is a HIPPA violation due to these connection not being encrypted. Also this only creates more problems when you attempt to to connect to the ems wireless connections.

New Motorola Phones: New phones were issued to all units 9/27. The ambulances do not have a 12 volt charger at this time. The ambulances are scheduled to have a cradle charging kit installed ASAP. You are required to take the phones in and charge with the 110 volt charger that was with the phones. The phone upgrade was due to the upcoming LP12 connection project that will soon be implemented

 Issues:  Blank Patients, Pratice PCR, Upload, Location and Address1

Problem:  Mobile chart had a blank patient listed for first patient after upload. Actual patient was on second patient on same chart.

Solution: Use the Patient Info button on left side of screen. Do not use the Add Another Button on the Dispatch page except when you are adding multiple patients to the same chart.

Question: Can I create a practice pcr on the mobile software?

Answer: Yes you can create a pcr, complete signatures etc. When you close chart you can delete as shown in presentation. If you upload to web server then you have to open the incomplete chart and delete using the Chart Toolbox. Do not leave blank records in database. They will show when Lt's and FTO's do their reports.

Problem: Chart will not upload.

Solution: The wireless connection must be running and the laptop within range of wireless router. All units will make connection from inside the bays and even sitting outside the bay doors. The laptops are configured to connect automatically, if the software inside the laptop connects it will display a solid green cone inside the taskbar (bottom right of laptop screen). If you click on the yellow or green icon it will  read Intel ProSet /Wireless. Remember if the cone is not solid green the connection is weak or not at all.

Problem: Location not showing when pcr is uploaded to web server in incomplete file section.

Solution:  Dispatch / Referring,Receiving Tab: The Location data point and the Address1 data point have two different functions. You must complete both prior to upload!!!! If the Location data point is not completed you will not be able to locate the pcr once in your incomplete charts file without opening all to locate. Also the Lt's can not locate when doing the CAD report. Address1 data point is required for billing purposes.
