Patient Category Data Point Changes

In an effort to better document and track Stemi patients data there are two Code Stemi data point changes added to the Patient Category selection.

Code Stemi / Prehospital : This selection will be used when the paramedic makes a determination that the patient meets the criteria of a stemi patient and notifies the hospital.

Code Stemi / Transfer: This selection will be used for the patients that ems transports from the hospital to another receiving hospital.

Make every attempt to document all aspects of the call as completely as possible. This provides much needed information when issues arise.

Remember if you call a code stemi prehospital and then make the transfer to CMC you will be making two pcr’s (one prehospital and one transfer )
